Here we are, Miss Eco 2017 has been crowned and the winner was the stunning Miss Canada, Amber Bernachi. It was a very close competition and we want to congratulate all of the ladies for their great performances. After such a successful pageant, it dawned on me that none knows about the team behind this historic event. Miss Eco International 2017 has already surpassed all of its previous highs in terms of followers and fans. So, as a thank you to the hardworking people behind the scenes we will be sharing some pictures of some of the member of the team so you guys know who is making all of this happen. This will only be a small number of the staff that has been working with us throughout the entire competition. Later, we will upload another blog post with the rest of the team members.
First, meet the beautiful and brilliant mind behind this entire organization, Dr. Amaal Rezk, she is the founder, CEO, owner and chairman of the Miss Eco International pageant. Dr. Amaal is also the head of strategic planning for the United Nations in Egypt. She acquired her PHD in International Business Management from the University Of Liverpool back in 2011. Since then, she has been working hard to promote ecotourism in Egypt among a number of other things. Her hard work and dedication to her craft has helped her progress rapidly in the world of Beauty Pageants. Her expertise, intellect and passion for Miss Eco International have helped the organization maintain its reputation as one of the best beauty pageants in the world. This feat is even more impressive when we take into account the amount of time the organization has existed. This is only our 3rd year and the progress has been amazing. From 15 models to almost 60 Dr. Amaal has been steadily accomplishing what she set out to do.
As the main representative for Miss Eco International organization she is the most important piece of the puzzle. All of her devoted staff would like to send her a special thanks for allowing us to work with such a great organization. We are excited for the final event which will be held tonight April 14th, 2017 at the Jolie Ville Conference Hall. We look forward to continuing our work with the Miss Eco International Organization and we can’t wait to see it continue to grow. We appreciate everything you do for your country day in and day out.
Next we have Dr. Amaal’s right hand, Ms Nada Shokry. Ms Nada is a beautiful young lady who graduated from Alexandria University in 2016 with a degree in Tourism. Nada is also the daughter of Dr Amaal and the director of Franchise and Branding for the Miss Eco International organization. She is also the Research and Development Manager for Let’s Take Care of The Planet- Egypt. Ms Shokry is the one who is always solving the biggest problems that come up behind the scenes during the Pageant. Her best attribute might be her composure under high pressure situations. She has expert organization skills that keep the events running smoothly. We can’t wait to work with here again as soon as this pageant concludes. We wish her the best and we appreciate all of the help, advice and overall great moments that we shared together.
One of the most stressful posts in any beauty pageant has to be operations manager. Nevertheless, we have one of the best ones in the business, Mr. Hossam Abdallah. Hossam has been working with Dr. Amaal since she first founded the Miss Eco International Pageant. Hossam handles all of the accommodation and transportation duties along with helping everyone else with anything we might need. He also handles the logistics duties, event booking, scheduling, and even any and all communications with outside entities. Mr. Abdallah is pretty much a jack of all trades and he always has a solution for any problem thrown his way. From picking up each and every lady from the airport, to coordinating with officials to make sure the ladies have anything and everything they need, Hossam is an intricate piece in our day to day activities. Hossam loves this organization and he can’t wait for next years pageant. Without him, running the pageant would be a much harder task. His time management skills, great people skills and decisive decision making have transformed him into one of the most important members of our team. We want to thank Hossam for everything he does to help us, without his support, many of us wouldn’t even be here right now.
In the first few days of the pageant we were starting to have trouble managing the ladies. Thankfully, Mr Sherif El Mawardy showed up to help us out. Sherif has amazing leadership skills that he applies backstage. Before he came, a lot of the girls were having trouble with timing in their performances. Sheriffs time management skills have been crucial in all of the events since his arrival. Whenever you are near the stage, you will see him running around trying to get everyone on the same page. Apart from his leadership responsibilities backstage, Sherif also helps out with the pickups in Cairo and any translations from Arabic to English. It has been an honor working with him and we will definitely work with him again in the near future. Thank you for bringing your skills to this organization, we can’t even find the words to express how grateful we are for having you here.
When it comes to Miss Eco logos, media and marketing, Karim Naeim is the man to talk to. Karim has the difficult task of getting the photographers and the IT team on the same page. Though it might be tough, he enjoys his job and he does it very well. His photographs, videos and Logo designs are high quality and we couldn’t have gotten a better person for this position. His eye for multimedia is one of a kind and his photography skills are even better. He has learned as much from us as we have from him and we hope to continue working together. Without Karim, our IT and Photography teams would have a hard time working together in a timely manner. It is for this reason and many more that we want to thank him for his dedication to our cause. He has been with us for a while and we hope he continues to come back every year so we can keep growing together as professionals.
Next, we have Walid Eid, our IT manager. Whenever we have a technical issue with our WiFi or systems Walid is the one who finds the solution. Apart from helping with any technical issues we may have, Walid is the designer/admin for the official Miss Eco International webpage. One surprising fact about Mr Walid’s background is that he is a lawyer. He received his degree from the University of Cairo and he is very proud of this accomplishment. Walid also helps out with the marketing strategy for all of our social media sites. This is Walid’s second year working with us and we hope he returns next year. His knowledge of IT has proven to be an invaluable asset in this organization and we couldn’t be prouder to have him as part of our team. Thank you for everything you have done and will continue to do for Miss Eco in the future. We want you to know that we appreciate you being here with us.
And last but not least, we have me, Michael Hernandez. I currently help Miss Eco International with anything related to Marketing, content creation, translations (English/Spanish) and I am the main writer for the official blog. This is my first time working with Miss Eco and I have to admit it has been a great experience. The entire team has been like my family over these last few months and I couldn’t be happier with the strong relationship we have forged. We have been on the same page since the beginning and I am hoping I will be back next year to help this organization continue to grow exponentially. The marketing campaign me and the Marketing came up with was very unique and I love the ideas the rest of the guys suggested. The last night was memorable to say the least and I am lucky to have the chance to spend it with all of you. I want to personally thank Dr Amaal, Nada, Hossam, Sherif, Walid, Karim and the rest of the staff for accepting and supporting me throughout this whole process. So, we would like to wish Miss Eco International 2017 Amber Bernachi the best of luck on her quest to promote sustainability and Ecotourism. We cant wait to see you again next year to create more unforgettable memories.
